The students’ Travel Pass on Government Transport (Subway Trains, trolleybuses) is issued by Universities and costs only 5US$ per month.

Ukraine is a big agricultural country with different cooking traditions. Different food can be bought in shops, supermarkets, agricultural markets. Cafes, restaurants and fast food restaurants offer different cuisine. Indian and Arabic food is available everywhere.
Food items in Ukraine are much more cheaper than in other parts of Europe because Ukraine is a great agriculture producer. There are many supermarkets available near the hostel or university.
Students can buy food from open market which is comparatively cheaper than supermarket.

You can change foreign currency in banks, exchange offices, train stations and at the airport. In the international airport, the currency rate is the same as in other places.
Payment for purchasing and services is performed in hryvnias. Nevertheless, some companies take payments in USD.
You can use credit cards of international payment systems. They can be used in many shops, hotels, transport companies, clubs and restaurants. In cities the net of exchange offices is well developed including the most popular among students which is PRIVAT bank. This bank is often used to open the account for international students.
Here you can deposit your money both in foreign currency and in Ukrainian hryvnia. The leading banks are situated in many regions of the country. It is easy to receive and send money through the Western Union.
